Recent course winner, has won a few times on artificial surfaces over 6f and 7f, looked as though the step upto a mile would be no problem.

Ran twice recently at Redcar since last win, both races were on soft with bad draws so i feel like those runs can be forgiven. 
(Last time out the pack split into 2 and the 3 horses on the low side were 1,2,3 home, indicating better ground on that side, the time before that, same thing, the first 5 home were drawn low, and split into the far side group, Stone Soldier actually won his race of the near side group.)

Has also been eased 1lb which puts him just 1lb above last winning mark.

Decent jockey booking who only has 2 rides today, both for J Given (also only has 2 rides)
